Word of the Day: Blood Diamond
Thursday, January 18th, 2007
blood diamond (n.): a diamond mined in a war zone and sold, usually clandestinely, in order to finance an insurgent or invading army’s war efforts
The lessons of the movie Blood Diamond can be summed up in three bullet points:
- Fatherhood makes you stupid.
- Fishermen catch fish.
- Journalists never get laid. Never ever.

Also, if I may, Lesson #4, a survival skill:
If you run into exotic African tribesmen with AK47′s, whip out your camera reaaaally fast and take goofy pictures with them.
