amputate (v.tr.): to remove by or as if by cutting; especially to cut (as a limb) from the body

Amputation is fucked up. I think this is a universal truth. I therefore present to you three explorations of the degree to which amputation is fucked up.

1.) Traumatic amputation has symptoms, the first of which is “a body part that has been completely or partially cut off.”
